Wedli is operated by Melt Software Solutions ("we", "us", "our"). We take your privacy seriously and want you to understand exactly how we handle your data. This policy is written in plain English because we believe you should not need a lawyer to understand it.
What data we collect
When you use Wedli, we collect the information you provide to plan your wedding. This includes:
- Your name and email address when you create an account
- Guest names, email addresses, and RSVP responses
- Any additional information guests provide through custom RSVP questions set by the couple (for example, dietary requirements, song requests, or plus-one names)
- Budget figures, supplier details, and seating arrangements you add to your workspace
- Payment information when you make a purchase (processed securely by Stripe — we never see or store your full card details)
How we use your data
We use your data to provide and improve the Wedli service. Specifically:
- To run your wedding workspace and deliver the features you use
- To send you important account emails (confirmations, password resets, service updates)
- To process payments through Stripe
- To fix bugs and improve the platform
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to build profiles for third parties.
Lawful basis for processing
Under UK GDPR, we process your data on the following bases:
- Contract: To provide the service you signed up for
- Legitimate interest: To maintain security, fix bugs, and improve the platform
- Consent: For any optional communications, which you can withdraw at any time
Who can see your data
Your wedding workspace is private. Only you and anyone you explicitly invite (such as a partner or coordinator) can access it. Guests can only see and respond to the RSVP form you share with them.
We use a small number of trusted services to run Wedli:
- Stripe — for payment processing
- Hosting providers — to store and serve your data securely
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics on our marketing website to understand traffic trends (for example, which pages are visited most and how people find us). This analytics tool is designed to be privacy-focused and does not use cookies. If we add additional analytics or tracking in the future, we will update this policy and our cookie policy.
How long we keep your data
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Some data may be retained longer where required by law (for example, payment records for tax purposes).
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict how we process your data
- Request a portable copy of your data

Children
Wedli is designed for couples planning their wedding. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

If we make significant changes to this policy, we will notify you by email or through the app. Minor wording updates will be reflected by the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
